More than half way done, the festival today was well attended and had great weather (the rain held off!). It was also a frustrating day in ways, something that happens in every long show like this one. Just when I really needed it, a little girl around 8 yrs old came into my display and gave me a big smile and told me she liked my work. She looked through my print bin making interesting comments about several pieces. We talked about her trip recently to Mystic Seaport. I told her I had been there a while back and she asked me if I had tried the fudge there. Apparently, it’s very good.
Today’s firstĀ purchase was part of a two print selection by a couple who first bought my work last year at the festival. They selected Icy Stare and an image of a wolf. Icy Stare was also the first selected piece of day 1. It is an image I made this past winter of a Sharp-shinned Hawk perched on a branch of a snag still showing the remaining ice of a storm that hit a day before.
