I’m crashing. I will be running on fumes tomorrow. If you come to the show and I’m not responsive , give me a shove. Tomorrow will be the longest day as after the show ends at 6:00pm we need to break down the displays, load the vehicles and meet with the show managers. An extra supply of coffee will be on hand.
The first piece purchased today was of the image titled Serenity. This is a picture I made on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and is part of a series
of pieces I am doing of raodways, trailways, and walkways. The couple who purchased the framed piece were great. They have a home in NC and so the image will be going home in a matter of speaking.
There seemed to be a lot of interest today in whether I was working with film or digital sensor. The answer is that my work represents both formats. It seems to be that digital format is seen as an explaination for any image that shows strong color. Color is the result of many things from the lighting, the combination of colors in an image, the isolation of colors from their surroundings, the exposure one chooses, film choice, etc. Of course the printing methodology plays a role as well, but that has always been true.
I’m making it an early night.
