Working at home has many benefits for both employer and employee. If it is at all possible this practice should be fostered. Not only does it allow flexibility on the part of the employee, but it is good for the environment if it saves commuting. When I was working full time as a biologist/information scientist, I was able to work at home as much as twice a week. I loved it.
Even now I like working at home. I have my studio space (read as converted dining room) at home and sometimes I even do some photography in our small gardens. This past Friday I did just that, working during the sweet light period of the afternoon with some oxeye daisies my wife planted last year.
White is a difficult color to work with but can be very elegant if done with sensitivity. I needed to be careful not to over-compensate the exposure, but also to make the white look clean. This is where the histogram readout is very helpful on digital cameras. This kind of work is meditative and I enjoy the exploration of abstract form.
